Maintenance & Contracts

Having a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) can prevent the risk of breakdowns, confirm the equipment is safe to use and gives you peace of mind systems are in efficient working order. We recommend LEV equipment should be serviced at least every 12-months and more frequently if usage is high.

Implementing a maintenance programme means you don’t have to worry about scheduling your next assessment or the cost of ongoing remedial work. We develop a programme to ensure your LEV system is constantly working to its optimum.

 

Maintenance include:

Identifying all required LEV maintenance tasks and their frequency.
Development of maintenance schedules & programmes
Undertaking maintenance tasks such as filter changing, replacement of consumables, airflow indicator calibration etc.
Acquiring / producing LEV logbooks & user manuals (recommended by HSG258), which are often neglected or missing altogether.
Providing onsite training / toolbox talks to operators and local area managers on safe and optimum LEV usage / operator interaction
Design and erection of warning signage e.g. maximum capture distances, system limitations, smoke clearance times etc.
