Microbiological settle plate sampling is often performed in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical & healthcare environments with strict conformance criteria. Micro sampling can be performed in commercial & domestic premises as part of Indoor Air Quality auditing with less stringent targets.
Sampling is usually performed using an active centrifugal impact sampler measuring 1m3 of air, however other options include settle plate and surface sampling (for example, pre and post cleaning).
